I would like to put a 42 inch light bar on the hood, three lights on the front bumper and two lights on the back. I want all the lights hooked up to the flood light switch that is already there on the dash. The wires for the two old flood light are hanging behind the new bumper. The old bumper still has the lights attached but I will not be using them. Does anyone have a recommendation on exactly how these would be wired together? All advice is welcome. Jeep is for my daughter btw, we have trails on our farm. Thank you!
I just want to say thanks for clarifying that you actually will need more light compared to all the people who have light bars and live/drive in the city.
Do you really want all of them to turn on with one switch? There is all sorts of room for a few switches. But also, a big light bar is plenty of light, do you need more on the bumper?
If I was gonna do this with the factory switch I would just use the switch to power a new relay and run my own wires. Maybe a little more work running wires but I wouldn’t have to figure out what wires went where.
you wont like the fact that your hood will be lit up bright. This will ruin your night vision of the road
mount on the nose of the jeep or if you must on the roof. Mount far enough to the rear of front of roof or add shielding to prevent light from shinning on the hood

keep your hood in the dark.
I could mount it on the rack but don't know where to run the wire.

run a wire up the out of the rear hatch, onto the rear pillar and onto the roof rack wire can be tucked next to the hatch seal gasket. My buddy did this to get power up to his rack for lights. works fine.
The lights went in super easy. I hooked the hood lights to one of the fog light wires and the bumper lights to the other wire. It's like a runway driving through the woods. Was worried about the hood lighting up but you can't see it. The back of the bumper lights are lit up and slightly annoying but not bad. The side lights on the hood which I thought would be overkill are actually really useful and the one on the passenger side is not yellow, sun I guess. The cheap headlights are an enormous improvement as well.

Correct. It came stock with fog lights on the old bumper which was returned to us. Each light had a plug about 10 inches from the light and a mate under the bumper. I clipped the plugs off the old bumper and ran all the light wires on the new bumper together and then to one plug and just plugged it in at the fog light. I repeated for the hood lights.
So the fog light switch turns on the trail lights...great fun.

Awesome thanks! Sorry I missed the mentioned part in your post.
If you ever need the ability to use the lights separately, I highly recommend a multi relay remote system like the Auxbeam, or Switchpod. I just installed the Auxbeam 6 button and its marvelous. Easy install, and even easier to add lights. Will eventually even put my E lockers on this panel.
This switch also gives you the option to gang multiple buttons together.
