Default lifting my cherokee more!

Im still pretty new with the hole jeep thing, Ive grew up with jeeps in my family and I finally gave in and bought my first XJ a few months back. It has a 3.5 full suspension lift with 31 inch tires on it, everything else is stock on it besides the lift of course, Im looking into lifting it more and make it a all around bad *** daily drive/weekend mud warrior that can conquer anything! i need some help with what lift kit, what gears i should up grade to, to get the best mpg. I want to get at-least a 5.5 inch full suspension with long arms, i want to run 33 to 35 inch tires with cut out fenders. I just need help picking out witch is the best lift and what i all need, i want to buy a set of rubicon moab wheels (if anyone knows anyone letting any go) I dont have any friends into jeeps as much as i am so i really just need help choosing what is best for my jeep! Im from northeast ohio so if anyone out there is from the area and can help out let me know! thanks for reading and the help!

You sound like you have a good plan.

I'll suggest Rock Krawler as my suspension provider of choice. Just don't cheap out and buy Iron Rock Offroad, please.

Gears:
33's - 4.56
35's - 4.88.

Post up in your local area's section here and perhaps you can make some new Jeep friends.

Rock Krawler kits looks nice. Tad spendy for add-a-leafs IMO....

You're going to also need SYE, axle shims and some driveshaft work to keep everything working together smoothly so make sure thats in your plans along with the lift.

dont get add-a-leaf..full springs! do it right the first time or else youll be putting in more money and time to get it where you really want it later

Im not going to do add a leaf I dont like that concept, I have new leaf sprigs on it now from the 3.5 lift

If your 3.5 leaf packs are good. Then I say keep them, get shackle relecation brackets and extended shackles, this will give you the desited height, plus the best ride quality and flex. In fact that is the setup I'm running, I love it. As for the front, get you some 5.5" coils and a long arm upgrade. I would personally go with serious offroad long arm upgrade and RE 5.5" coils. Order it all from serious. Great prices and great products. Also if you are wanting optimal flex in the rear get RE boomerang shackles from serious as well.

Im just gonna start buying everything soon hopefully, it's gonna be a project for the next year or so but I'm not sure I just want a good trust worthy rig

These guys have given you great options. Personally, I would agree with Ohio95. Keep the 3.5 leafs and get shackle relocators and shackles. Also, don't forget the little things ie. brake lines, shims, discos, SYE...
There is a lot more to a lift than the lift itself. Good luck with the build and welcome to the community.

There is a lot more to a lift than the lift itself. Good luck with the build and welcome to the community.
Agreed, the little stuff is very important. you may not need shims because when you get the lift shackle and relocation brackets. They will rotate the axle

I'm about to get a set of rubicon moabs on 33s, can I fit them on my 3.5 if I just trim my fenders?

Yes you can fit the 33's on your 3.5 trim and bumpstop
