Is the frame in good shape with stiffeners, we saw2 that on my son's XJ but was covered with oil dirt so couldn't be seen. But I'm sure that you checked yours.

I do have mid section stiffeners welded on, haven't done the front sections yet. The frame is solid, no rust at all. I do have front bumper tie in that incorporate the steering bolts also. I was discussing this with a buddy of mine, he think the steering box may be flexing against the frame and suggested to get a steering brace. I'm looking into that option.

I've got a cheap ruggid ridge that I modified to fit with my hidden winch bumper.

I really like that Boostwerks design. I am still (not so) patiently waiting for that hidden winch bumper to come out. If you do it, please post up the results. It's hard to find any reviews on that piece.

So a little update, I'm not sure how u guys would make out with info like this..

So I had my fiancée steer from back n forth. I could feel some sort of noise somewhere on the jeep. Sorta like popping. Then a neighbor came by. I asked him to listen and locate exactly where the noise is coming from.

He listened and told me that the noise is coming from steering box

It make noise every time the pitman passes the center of the radius

And make light noise when reaching the driver's side radius and make louder noise when reaching passenger side radius

Does the shaft also move? I had that issue and went Durango box. You have some choices. Either go Durango box which is a bit stronger, rebuild your stock box or get a new stock box.
