I want to do a 2 inch lift on my 96 2door xj. Do I have to replace my control arms and sway bar and track bar as welll?I'm looking at rough country's front coil and add a leaf kit. What about shocks?.do they need replacing as well?.will it mess up my driveline?

The shocks should come with a kit and no to the rest of your questions. An AAL is only good if you have very good leafs "TO BEGIN WITH" all the AAL's will do is destroy an old set quickly.

would longer rear shackles be a better option? I'm not sure what shape my rear leafs are . I know their not arched very much anymore.im looking at a budget lift. rough country has a 1.5 with front spacers and and rear shackles. no shock. would I need to buy longer shocks?

How about an old man emu 2 inch kit? I'm saving for that. It is expensive but they have great reviews and are full leaf packs

If your leafs are worn out you need to save your money and buy an entry level lift kit that comes with a full set of leafs/coils/shocks/hardware. Avoid the RC lift products as they are very cheaply made. With a full kit you will a better ride on/off road and you can get the size you want 2-3"'s of lift....but you will still be in the roughly $500 range give or take. This way you only have to do it once and not over and over.
