so i guess as long as i get a kit with a t-case drop bracket i can go about 4-4.5"
without spending allot more money but I was looking at maybe a 3.5" from tuff country, seems pretty nice.

I think the 3.5 would be perfect for it with 31s.

i have the tuff country 3.5 lift in my xj. it is ok and it fit my 31" fine. but with the blocks in the rear, i had to grind down the nipples on the block because they were too thick for the mounts on the axles. but other than that everything went in very good

with 33's you could go with the RE 3.5"/4.5" kit. as long as you trim it up a bit use proper backspacing and bumpstopping you will be fine. The reason i bring this up is the issue of COG. if your running 33" on a RE 5.5" lift (which will actually end up sitting at a little over 6") your going to be very high centered unnecessairly which you will find wont help you on the trails.

Well now Im thinking of going big. 7-9 inches of lift and either 35s or 37s now. Putting on Dana 60 axles with 4.56 gears and arbs. Of course long arm kit and all the other goodies. Im starting to price things out. It should be a fun project.

i would stick to about 5" for 35's/37's and do some trimming. this way you keep your COG down so you dont run into problems in off camber situations.

why so undergeared?

and x2 7-9" for 35's to 37's will hurt you more than help you.

Dana 60 axles on 35s are probably more counterproductive than not. Dana 44s are more than up to the task for running 35" tires. 60s will rob you of some clearance and be overkill IMO. 37" tire IMO is the starting tire for d60 builds.

Also like said, 4.56s are probably less than desireable in the 37" tire range..and personally, i wouldnt be gearing a d60 any less deep than 5.13.

if you're gonna do d60s and bite the bullet on the cost of em, do em up right.

oh and yeah, definitely exnay on the 9" of lift as stated by KTM.

Do you plan to be playing in the rocks and such? if so, center of gravity is your friend and 9" of lift is your enemy in more cases than not.

Get a flat belly on the jeep and some tire clearance.
