So, I would like to convert my tailights including my third brake light to led's on my 1998 XJ. If you have done this post some pics and a general rundown of how and what parts were used. also a price would be good. I know there are several ways to do this including complete custom makeovers and the plug in bulbs. I have searched and could not find a plug and play light/lens replacement. Also if you have done the bulb replacement if you could let me know if you have had any quality issues, or brightness issues. I tried searching for led taillight but the search always kicked out led. Thanks.

 

i know rusty's and jrc both sell them as tail light guards, u would get a complete metal housing, with 3 led "bulbs", 2 are 3" diameter and i think the 3rd is 1.5" diameter. havent heard of anything for the 3rd brake light though

 

I think he is talking about a more OEM style for a modern looking taillight. I have also searched with no luck.. Seems like there are LED taillights for everything except the jeep cherokee on ebay..
