I recently bought two LED light bars. One is a 20" "Olympus" brand led light bar (according to the seller). The other one I bought is a 41.5" non-Olympus brand I got off Amazon. Now, When they were both delivered, I noticed something, which I had suspected from looking at the pics....they look exactly the same.
Neither one has any sort of markings...manufacturer, part numbers, nada. So, how do I know I actually got an Olympus LED light bar(having paid the "Olympus" price for it, and not some amazon off-brand? I mean, they have the same designs, same brackets, same materials, same hardware (actually the non-Olympus brand hardware seems to be a little nicer and has higher gauge wiring, but I suspect that is simply because it has more LEDs)
Here are some pics. I mean, I've already paid for them both, so if the seller scammed me, not much I can do about it at this point outside of calling him out on here(not saying I was scammed, but how can you tell??) I would think there would be identifying marks of some sort on it...since they would want people to know who made it...marketing and all.
Seriously, look at these pics. Anyone know how to tell "quality aka expensive" from "inexpensive"?

Wow, like you said they look exactly the same. I'm almost bought a 40" light bar off of amazon yesterday, but there really isn't enough info on them. Price ranges for them are all over the place. Good luck figuring out what you got. I'll stop back to see if anyone chimes in.

I work for olympus, we along with many other companies just use a generic housing but put our own electronics inside. So from just looking at the outside it is very hard to tell the difference between them.
Do me a favor, one way to tell if that is our 20" dual row would be to determine wither it has a glass or lexan lens. Our 20" dal row bars have glass. If it happens do be one of our 20"HD dual rows it would be lexan.

If we can't determine whether it is ours or not I can work with you to make sure you end up with a Olympus 20" even if I have to send you my own personal 20"!

The 20" looks a little different then my 24" I got off eBay.
The only difference I can see is it doesn't have the little bolts around the front face lip of the housing that mine has
Don't know if that helps you much cause mines a no name but thought I would throw that out there
