I bought a set of Detours USA A-pillar might brackets the day before I got deployed(currently still deployed). My original plan was to mount a pair of Hella 500FF lights I already had at the bottom of the windshield. BUT!! I got a new idea in my head, and might have changed my mind.
What if, I mount the light brackets as high up as possible on the A-pillar. Then get a single LED light bar to mount on them? Im guessing it would be a 44''-50'' light bar. Im a good ways away from my Jeep right now, so I dont know how wide the top of the windshield is. Also, the light brackets space the light off the windshield about 2''-2.5'', but I have no idea if that is enough to compensate for the curve of the windshield to have a straight LED bar.
Anyone want to go take some measurements for me?

Put it on your roof rack, I bought an 3rd for mine at junkyard and leds would look so nice up there in front of tour spare tire.

I could mount it top a stock roof crossbar, but that look never looked right to me. Besides, the stock rails have a good bit of play in them and let the lights bounce around. I could mount one to the front of a roof rack basket but then I would be tempted to throw my spare tire up there, and pack it full of unnecassry camping gear lol but thanks for the idea Originally Posted by rand4x4
