Default Leaf spring woes.

I keep having problems with my passenger leaf pack bending/breaking. Im running a spooled Ford 9in, not sure if that has anything to do with it but I didnt have the problem until I did the axle swap. I broke the pack twice in one weekend, my current setup is a factory main leaf with one front leaf from a Ford F250, its about 1/2in at the perch and tapers to about a 1/4 near the ends. After about a month or so its starting to bend a bit too. Its really starting to get on my nerves any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dont think the spool would have anything to do with it. With a spool it should be sending equal pressure to both sides.

Does it happen when you turn? Your tire probably isn't sliding enough.

Quick question, are you running blocks? Also, you are only using 2 leaves?

your thinking what i'm thinking? too much torque and axle wrap, because the bastard pack isn't strong enough?

It is definately Axle wrap that is causing your rear to bend yoour leafs. You need to build a traction bar.

Only two leafs as of now, Im running 31s and no lift. The single Cherokee leaf and the single front F250 setup has lasted the longest.
