Default Leaf Spring Shim

To adjust pinion angle.. Do these slip in between the perch and the leaf spring, or do they have to be bolted to the leaf?
Sorry for the dumb question, new to this.
Thanks

Yes, they go between the perch and leaf spring and you should get the kind that go through the center bolt of the spring. You will probably need longer center bolts.

You need to undo the axle u-bolts, drop the axle (with the tire removed) remove the centerpin in the leak pack, put the shim on the bottom, put a new centerpin back through, bolt it all back together, lift the axle perch back up making sure the head of the centerpin goes into the hole on the perch, put your ubolts back on, and you're good.

Repeat it on the other side.

Thanks for the information. The guy at 4 wheel parts sold me some aluminum ones, with pretty large holes in the center. He didn't say anything about new bolts.
I think the ones I have are intended to be slipped in, but I am concerned about the amount of engagement with the center bolt on the leaf to the perch once they are in between.
I think I might install them for the short term, to see if that cures my low speed vibes, but replace them with longer bolts and steel shims once I know for sure.

I have a topic of concern. I have a 91 xj an it's got 3 inch lift coils in the front and in the back it has 2 inch blocks. When I am going anything over 25 ish and put on the brakes a decent amount I am getting like a vibrating/rattling and idk if it's the driveline or why but I was wondering if you guys knew anything about it. I don't know if it's related to the lift or not. Thanks.

Throw the aluminum ones in the trash!

Steel FTW!
