Default Km2s or mtrs

Getting some new shoes and just wanted some input. Debating between bfg km2s or goodyears mtrs. Any one have good or bad things about either tire? Mostly wheel in the north west so wet muddy and some snow! Any input helps! Thanks!

Both great tires. Go with the better deal you can get.

I have to agree with this. I have noticed the MTR does dig deeper in snow when the km2 does. Not dig as much and the compound on the km2 is a little softer. Either way you can not go wrong.

my only issue with the treps is they're frickin HEAVY. otherwise, sweet looking tire I'd love to try a set. especially in the sticky flavor

can't comment on the km2's, but i have gy mtr's.
i was disappointed in their performance the last time i was out. they're still 80% tread, but was totally outperformed by another jeep with hercules trail diggers. just sayin...
another local here has the km2's and said they suck in the rain, slid through an intersection, luckily he lives in a small town.

my next set of tires will not by MTR's

*edit. sorry, i have the old style MTR's, don't really like the look of the new design.

yeah either way. all three are awesome tires. just gotta pick the right tire for the terrain

I always like to see what JPmagazine has to say, since they have the freedom to test many tires in many terrains. whereas us lowly forum wheelers probably have only tried 1 or 2 kinds of tires

Kevlar

Wow thanks for all the input! I'm running 35s so I'm Gunna stick with the same size! And by the sounds of it I'm going to run some new mtrs!
