Have a question....I have a new '16 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with a 2.4L. K&N has finally come out with a replacement filter for my car. I was wondering if replacing my stock filter at this time is a good idea? Pros--cons?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The Jeep will definately breathe easier with the K&N than with the OEM paper filter. It's hard to say whether or not any performance will be gained because modern computer driven engines are so precise at adjusted timing and AFR for the increased air flow due to the K&N. If you love your Jeep then it's worth it IMO.
Only cons would be that you might notice slightly more intake noise and if you drive on dusty dirt roads a lot then K&N filters can have trouble with excessive (I mean really excessive) amounts of fine dust.

Stick with the OEM filter. K&N filters may offer better breathing, but at the cost of letting dirt into the engine. A K&N filter is nothing more than a red shop rag sandwiched between mesh screen.
