alpine.adrenaline has a nice set up for HID, no arguing that. Personally, I have had bad experience with HID in my Chevy Cobalt (car I had before the XJ). I spent about $300 for a shop to install HIDs, I think they were about 4,000k, and had stock high beam. Within two months the ballast got wet and had to get replaced which was another $200.
So from my bad experience, military grade plug and play LEDs are better for me.

No doubt the HIDs have slightly better light output. However, HIDs are becoming a thing of the past with modern day cars starting to go towards LEDs for lighting. I like the fact that the Truck Lites look good, hardly draw any power, and the fact that the build quality of them is amazing.
I will also mention that with these Truck Lites they are extremely bright with the high beams on!

I'd love to see what LEDs could do with projectors!

To me it's worth spending $400 dollars on a good set of headlights ,
I never drove a cherokee but i own the grand cherokee and those factory headlights sucked!! 400 bucks and he feels safe driving at night totally worth it! On my jeep i Bought a aftermarket head lamps, new bulbs,

Okay so the light output on those JW Speaker lights is much more crisp than the Truck Lite LED lights which is obviously due to the fact that they are projectors.
However, have you guys seen how much those JW Speaker lights are for the 8900 model? I haven't been able to find them for less than $800 for a pair!!!
Pshhhh... And you guys thought the Truck Lites were spendy!

I recently installed the trucklites on my 01 & absolutely love them. Granted the jw speaker LEDs look awesome but $900 is just too much. I've had to adjust my trucklites down due to getting flashed like I had my high beams on. The quality is there for sure. The frame is heavy & solid. I think they're better than the HIDs I've had on other trucks by a long shot

Speaker lights are sick. What will happen though is I'll buy em and a month later the germans will make something twice as awsome and crazy for $1600.00 and I'll be right back where I started.
