Hello. I am new to the Cherokee forum but I can already tell I'm going to like it here. I am not new to jeeps however. I have done a 52 ****** with my dad a few years back. Had an 89 Cherokee limited and now have a 2000 Cherokee sport. I am just about ready to embark on my project. However, like everyone these days funds are limited and for now it's a daily driver. I want to make sure I get the most bang for my buck. I have a broken leaf spring in the right rear and death wobble developing up front. I have decided to go with a rough country 3" kit with rear leafs.
What upgrades are inexpensive and make the most difference? I am planning on driving it daily for now until I pick up something different. Any input is welcomed!

As far as your death wobble goes, it will probably get worse with a lift. So first things first start with this...

And a 3" lift is a good DD size, but be warned, you'll get the bug and want more
Good luck and welcome to the site!

Thanks for the reply. My jeep has almost 200,000 on it so I figure it's time to go through the front end completely. That is a very good checklist. I will begin my diagnosis this afternoon.
Thats an excellent checklist, I have it printed off and posted on the wall of my garage. Along with a few other check lists.... damn my terrible memory.
As for upgrades I would have suggested the Rustys 3" lift, its cheaper and exactly the same basically. But to each his own. If you plan on wheeling I'd throw a transfer case skid plate in there(JCR Offroad is my personal favourite), gas tank skid and recovery points and call it good until you can free up some more cash.
Another good, fairly cheap upgrade many people forget about is rims. Running a set of steelies with better offset widens the stance and gives you more stability off road and on road.
Rustys kit $438 USD: http://www.rustysoffroad.com/jeep-su...-pack-kit.html
Rough country $509 USD: http://roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_3.html
