Default Just bought an XJ and need some advice

I just bought a 1995 cherokee. It came with a 3 inch pro comp lift, warn winch bumper, and a small *** tires. The rockers are rusted out so I'm currently cuting them off and building rock sliders out of 2 by 6 steel. Also rebuilding the rusted floor panels. My goal is to have a very capable off road rig, that I can daily drive when I work on my pick up. I want to run 33's, so I'm thinking I'm going to put some coil spacers on the front and lower the rear shackles to get a little more lift. I also plan on sway bar disconects for off roading. My shocks are shot, so I need some ideas on what shocks to run to allow the axle to drop farthest. I also need some ideas on cutting the fenders to get the tires to fit, and how to make the fender look good after I cut it. I will be building a rear bumper out the 2 by 6 steel, so any ideas for a spare tire mount(mainly what to use to make it swing) would be helpfull. I was thinking of cutting the rear quarters and useing 2 by 6 steel welded to the bumper to fill the space, anyone have pics of something similar? Also some pics of skid plates would be great. I have all winter to build this but I only have every second weekend to work on it, so I need to plan everything out to get it done by spring. Let me know what I need, or should build to make this thing work really well off road.

Your plans sound on track. But I'd try to avoid spacers on the coils. Maybe some new 4.5" coils up front and some lift shackles out back would suit you better, along with some adjustable control arms or a control arm drop bracket, or if you've got the extra money just a nice long arm 4.5" lift kit. You're also going to need to relocate your brake line mounts closer to the axle, and get longer brake lines (yj lines bolt up nicely and are 3 inches longer). You don't need to trim a whole lot for 33's at 4.5", just pull the flares and remove the flare mounts, cut tabs up to the second crease line from the body, and fold em back. Cut lots of them close togethre for easier folding around the curves. Adjustable track bar at that height, double shear is the way to go. SYE, and some better gears to match those 33's. 4.56 if you're an automatic, 4.10 if you're a manual.

x2, spend a little extra money on coils man. I ran spacers at one point, then went to my coils for my 4.5" lift, and it was so beyond worth it I cannot express.

Will do on the coils, who sells good ones at a decent price? the brake line relocates won't be a prob, I should be able to fabricate them. I was thinking about building my own long arms and plateing the frame, but that probably won't happen till next year.
