I don't know about swapping gears so I swapped axles. I got a HP D30 from a 4cyl. XJ that had factory 4.10's. And a 8.25 from another 4cyl. XJ with 4.10's. $200 for the rear $250 for the front at my local junkyard. Have an auto running 32's. Get about about 13 to 15 mph. Haullin **** on interstate at 75mph. I get about 16 to 17mpg.
