Default jks disconects problems.....

my problem resides here... how the he(double hockeysticks) do you remove the star bolt to hook up the new disconnects? i cannot get it to budge. any tips would be greatly apperciated. thanks!

they are pressed in. so a BFH is your best bet. i used a hammer and a big C clamp to get mine out.

You can also use a pitman arm puller, when it breaks free it will make a loud bang.

i tried the pitman arm puller but it would sit on there but when you try to get it over the bolt it just not long enough.

I cut the bolt flush with the mount first, and then used a pitman/gear type puller to get the head out.

I used a pitman arm puller on mine also. Just put the nut slightly on the end so there's a more surface for the puller screw to touch. Oh and I used pb blaster too.

Default Bolts

Mine broke off when trying to take the nuts out, then I used an air hammer to get them out. Fairly pain free lol.
