I have no plans on doing the proportioning valve at this time. I have yet to have front or rear lock up and until I have a problem with it. Why fix it if it ain't broke. I eyed this upgrade for a long time before doing it and once I did it I was like dang that wasn't too bad. Just pay attention and you should be good.

As one who has driven the same XJ both without and then with the prop valve change, it's better with.

And you don't need to change the whole prop valve. Only the guts from a 94 to 98 Grand Cherokee with rear discs.

I heard it only makes a difference during emergency braking. Is this true or does it change the braking characteristics entirely?

I know it will shift the braking balance towards the rear end and balancing it out closer to stock.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to grab the guts next time I'm at the junkyard.

Take the cap off and take it and everything inside. See my previous photo. Careful, it's under spring pressure.

Alright and then swap it in then do I just have to bleed the proportioning valve after? Or the whole system?

Have you ever bled the whole system?

Or just the rears since doing the conversion?
