My Spartan was a really easy install and I had never opened the different before. It has little holes you put wire in and it holds the pins and springs down then you just pull the wires out when its all together

I ran a Lock Rite in the rear of my TJ a couple years back. I drove with it in there for 1 week & took it out. Couldn't stand it.
I just picked up a Spartan the other day for my D30. I've heard their a lot better than the lock rites. Can't wait to install my spartan! My 8.25 that I have to install already has a LSD in it, should be nicer than a locker especially driving in snow. Living in Buffalo Ny gotta have something that's good in snow.

you have a dana 30 up front and in the back you either have a dana 35 or a chrysler 8.25 the dana 35 is rounded and the 8.25 has a flat bottom

^dana 35

chry co 8.25

and i love my spartan it locks up 100% offroad and isnt very bad at all on the road and it was an easy install

If that is all you have then why not?

If you have an 8.25 you may look into a posi unit. You can pick these up for about the same as a lunchbox. May be a little friendlier.
