I never get to PAP's though
Starting to think I may just go with a super polished dana 30 and an 8.8
Truss the **** out of the 30..

I promise in the end you'll regret it.
You'll spend the same amount of money building a 44.
The 44 I sent you a link to is already built for less than you'll put in that D30.

agreed ^ i tell all my customers to mail order a built 44 ... i have done a few 30s for people and i won't suggest it.. 2 grand is easy to spend in parts on a piece of garbage axle plus labor

I just dont have the coin to buy a built axle..
Id like HP just for the clearance...but the only non-full width 44 front I know of is a waggy 44..and its LP.
Ah.

The Waggy 44 is LP but I've never once had any sort of clearance issue because of it. There's only like a 2" difference at the yoke. Everything else is obviously identical.
Waggy 44 all the way.

for what it's worth you can cut up anything and put it back together i run a narrowed, drivers drop 8.5 chevy front with welded and sleaved shafts. locked on 35s.. didn't cost me a dime.. narrowing axles isn't that hard so if you can't find what you want make it.. hybrid axles are an option too.. EARLY BRONCO has the 44 you want with the right bolt pattern for that scout axle.. also if you go to a big bolt pattern you will get disco hubs.. my vw get 18 mpg out of a 4.0l and i give that to the lock out hubs
