Interior bedliner questions
Ok, so prepping the interior to bedline my XJ project. First question is is there a good way to remove the insulator pad in the foot wells? And my tailgate/ hatch lock wont unlock, what tips to pop it.

I think I used a wire wheel on the floor ... and a paint scraper, ..and xylene
Try to kick the hatch open from inside. It worked for me. Then take latch apart - clean, inspect reinstall - Tight.

If its a daily driver i wouldn't do it since bedliner has no sound deaden in it.But to answer your question a heat gun and a scrapper can get the stuff off but takes a lot of time to do it.

Thanks for the responses.. About 5 minutes after I posted I remembered that the rubber/foam pad the runs up the firewall can be cut out. Then I tackled the hatch. Popped thw cover off and notice the little slider was stuck in the unlock position. So a quick hit of silicon lube and I was back in business... And yes, it will be a daily driver and the noise wont bother me much, I did 8 years in the Marines so noise exposure isnt a concern
