DONT TELL ME TO USE SEARCH BUTTON IT DOESNT WORK ON MOBILE. ok then! so I was at 4.5 inches with stock steering and track bar(had a redrilled whole)

now I am at 4.5 lift with v8 grand steering, and a new adjustable trac bar.. I was getting death wobble but I pht the trac bar on and that is fixed, but now my jeep wanders and steering feels loose...

It sounds like a caster problem and not a bump steer issue to me. Does the vehicle have steering inputs when you hit bumps, or does it just feel loose up front? Do you know what your caster angle is?

ya because when I had the stock trac bar,on, redrilled and the new v8 sreering I had death wobble, then I added a brand new adjustable track bar from rubicon expresss and no more death wobble, just this lliise feeli.g of the car goes were it wants on bumps and stuff. angles are off, so I am gonna get a trac drop bracket, similar to the rustys one then ill get an alignement, and I have 2 brand new steering stabilizers and ill just install one as well

I'm on my second XJ and have the same issue, I installed a 4.5" Tomken suspension lift along with Teraflex 1.75" "pucks" up front & shackles in the rear and am running 33" BFG's. I've replaced the track bar with Tomkens, installed a new steering stablizer, and I still have the wobble and sloppy steering(response). Even when it was stock the steering was sloppy. My Stock 96 ZJ had the same issue. Could it be steering box, or steering pump, would a drop pitman arm help....? It's good to see others are having the same issue.

By the way, I'm new to this forum, all the threads are full of great into....

Get the front end aligned. You're toed in too much and the front tires are kind of fighting eachother. Your caster angle is too negitive and that will cause the front end to wander.

Don't know about the other guys, I got my Jeep aligned a week after I installed the kit. I would agree with the alignment being the issue, but i know I got one.. I might (if all else fails) get the truck aligned again. I love driving my XJ but that really gets annoying...

When doing suspension on any car, I would say drive it a couple hundred miles before you get it aligned, lets the springs settle to where it will normally sit. Just my 2 cents.
