Improved shackle angle with RC extended shackles?
I purchased a RC 4.5" lift kit and opted to build my own bastard pack later. With the dakota pack my XJ is sitting about an inch lower in the back than the front. I still have a pair of RC extended shackles laying around and have been thinking about installing them on the lowest setting and ditching the stock shackles to bump the lift up in the back. Would installing the extended shackles help my ride quality or degrade it by changing the shackle angle?

it will change your shackle angle slightly, and not in a good way. because you already did the bastard pack its probably already in a 90* angle in relation to the body. you could get shackle relocation brackets to get your lift and fix the angle

Thank you for the quick response. I have been looking at the relocation brackets but figured if I could improve my shackle angle with something I had laying around and get the height boost I would. I wasn't sure if it would affect it negatively or positively though. Thanks again.
