I have a 99 grand Cherokee. I know the Cherokee lovers don't especially care for the grands. Anyways I am all stock right now. I want to keep it as my DD but I wana make it a little more bad *** for driving off road understandably with limits of course. Any ideas of what I could do?

How much are you willing to spend? Some good AT tires would be easy and quick.

What kind of off roading, how often, and how seriously?

I would start with a small lift kit. Maybe a 2 to 3 inch. And then add some bigger all terrain tires. That will make it alot more capable off road but still have decent ride and not cost a fortune.

SeriousOffRoad, is this a quality setup? Will I get the "death wobble" and will this work with cv joints in the front? I still want a smooth ride for highway and city driving.

It's a 2" budget boost, not a completely new suspension system.

Correct, it's a very small amount of lift that will allow for better clearance and axle articulation.

So I found 4 skyjacker shocks with boots for $145 and Jeep Grand Cherokee (1999-2004); 2" poly spacer lift; Incl. bumpstud extensions.
I think the brand is Crown for $103. Would this be a good budget lift?

yes. a 2" BB would be good for u imo. shocks and spacers. nothing extra is needed for that small of a lift. install it and go.

But do your homework before buying any kit from anyone (yes that includes Serious OffRoad).

There's nothing more frustrating (with regards to suspention mods) than going through the time, effort, and expense only to end up with a crappy ride.

All coil spacers are not created equally.
All shocks are not created equally.
All complete kits are not created equally.
