Posi is a term GM uses.
What you need is something to limit the slip (limited slip diff) or to lock the tires, known as a locker.
First off, what rear end do you have? If its a D35, then locking it would be a poor choice.

Look on ebay for a Trac-Lok unit.
Its a positive track differential carrier,
Make sure its for the same ratio you have.
3.54 I imagine with an automatic.
I got one for $50 that looked like new.
Installing it, you can reuse your bearings if you have a press, but it not plan
on getting a set of new bearings and races for the carrier and an install shim
kit.
Then a dial gauge from Harbor freight or some place and do some on-line
research for setting clearances.

2 types of lockers- manual and auto. Manuals are engaged by flipping a switch/pulling lever to engage the air/electric locker. Auto, aka lunchbox, are cheaper, but will engage when they feel a tire begin to slip, so driving with one can take some getting used to.
