I looked up an upgrade in the search so dont hound me for asking for an upgrade to the NP231. I dont want a hack and tap or SYE. A buddy told me you can get a lower gear shaft for this TC, but cannot seem to find any info on it. Please help!!

Are you talking about a drop case like the Cyclone or SCS case? An SYE or HnT are for running double cardan shafts to reduce the driveline line angles on a lifted truck. The drop cases do the same thing by physically lowering the transfer case output shafts.

keep the 231 and mate it up to a d300 for a doubler. 2 t-cases, twin stick and lower than you will ever need gear ratio. and you can still use a double cardan shaft.

Caged whats the price of building that doubler vs running a 4 to 1 gear set in the 300 tho?

it's about 700 welded up. or if you can weld aluminum, then much cheaper. but you supply the cases.
