i am wanting to put a rc 4.5 lift on my jeep do i need control arm drop brackets?

i am wanting to put a rc 4.5 lift on my jeep do i need control arm drop brackets?
it comes with control arms but it "recommends" pardon the spelling Tht you get the drop kit

I drop mine with stock arms and a 1/2" shim... it still stuff the tires going up, but could not do much going down... it rode fine... not bumpy like everyone makes it out to be...
I would not recommend it... but you could do it... if you do I would make sure to grind above the axle side lower control arm bracket, on the coil bucket...
