so I am looking at aftermarket wheels (I.e. soft 8s, etc.) to replace the tj ravines I have. and I see most are lug centric. I know what the difference between them is; but my question is how do I make the switch from our hub centric, to the lug centric? is there anything else I need to buy? its possible, right?

you dont have to do anything. lug centric means the lugs tightening keep the wheel attached as well as in the right position on the axle. hub centric means the center bore of the wheel fits on the center flange of the axle keeping it centered and then the lugs just hold it on.
this is a pic of spacers but its the same idea. the one on the right is hub centric and sits on the flange and then the wheel sits on the flange sticking out. the one on the left is lug centric where it doesn't touch the flange at all and just holds on by the lugs
