Default How to lift my jeep?

Hey guys, I want to lift my XJ to 4-4.5 around there. I was told I currently have a 3" lift.

I already have ES9000 shocks and a new trac bar and my buddy offered me his 1" coil spacer if I lift it without buying a new lift kit

I was wondering what I should do? If I do the budget lift to 4 inches, would I need a transfer case drop kit + sway bar drop kit? And new control arms as well?

I am also going to buy a leaf pack

Should I buy them separately? Or would it be cheaper to just buy a new lift overall

Usually gonna be cheaper to buy a complete kit. if you already havethe track bar then your money ahead, since most kits don't include one. I'm assuming its adjustable? And at 4 plus inches you'll need lower arms anyway. If you want to piece one together then spend money on quality parts, not ebay junk. Ironman4x4fab.com has some good stuff and IRO.

you already did the leg work... all you need is a coil spacer setup for the front and a new shackle for the rear///

So you need spacers, shackles, lower control arms, and something for your vibes. Not too bad at all. Keep an eye out for lcas here on the forum... They're for sale all the time.

Thanks a lot guys, I'm planning to buy the Rough Country 4 1/2 leaves and a 1 inch front spacer on top of my 3 inch coils so I can have my XJ leveled out cause it's sagging in the rear.

I might get a 1.5" or 2" spacer for the front, cause new leaves are gonna be really new and springey (lol idk how to put it) and might be a little higher than 4.5".

Oh really? I hope it's not, well I'll just have to see because my friend is passing me his 1" spacer free, so if it's too high in the rear, I might have to buy some new ones then thanks for the heads up!

I am also trying to avoid having to buy an SYE kit that's why I was to keep it under 4 1/2

Yeah I hear ya on the free spacers and not wanting to spend money on a sye. And yeah just put them in and if there is a noticable difference then it isn't the end of the world... You could just put new ones in some other time.
