How high should i lift?
I use my jeep as a daily driver around town and to school, so it's more of a city driver than off road, I try to go off road as much as I can but dot have a lot of places to go. I was thinking 2.5" or 3" but not sure

3" and 31s will do you fine. That's pretty much 90% of all beginner lifts since it has little hidden issues (brake lines, driveline vibes) and still offers decent mileage.

For on road daily driver I did 3".
To me that gives me enough lift to clear the winter snow and also look good with a bigger tire while not putting on something I will not use.

How are we supposed to make up your mind for you? Okay, so it's mainly a streeter, but what kind of terrain do you hit when you DO go offroad? Just remember, the higher you go the more it's gonna cost. Have you researched this at all? There's a LOT of options out there, if you stay on the smaller side, you can get away with a budget boost, meaning spacers and shackles, or you can go all out and get full springs all around...I've never been a fan of the budget boost, full springs or nothing in my OPINION. Also, bigger lift usually means bigger tires, are you planning on changing tire size? Also, for future reference, fill out your profile info or let us know the year, make and model of your ride, 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive, auto or stick, these little details can make a difference in the answers you get.

If you go over 3" it will cost you more money to do so in other things that you will have to buy to make it work. With that said I do like a 3"ift and they look good also on the highway decent road manners, off road 3" will get you a lot of places over a stock setup.
For the lift go with a full spring/leaf setup no AAL, Blocks or spacers you will have a much better ride all around and get rid of the old leafs that are most likely worn out at this age. A good kit for the money is a Rustys 3" full spring/leaf lift with everything included for just over $400. I have used these springs for over 2 yrs and zero sag on the American made springs/leafs.
If you want to do some trimming you can run a 33x12:50x15" tire. Here is an older photo of mine with the Rustys 3" lift running the 33x12:50 tires.
