That's a bit low if you're running a manual and it's also just the ring and pinion, you'll also need bearings and shims which can be bought in a full kit. You'll also need to regear the front to match and like stated if you don't know how to set up gears pay someone cause it's not a job for your average mechanic. It requires some specialty tools and tolerances in .001".

Oh your asking for what gear ratio, my bad. I rock ax15, 33's and 3.55's from an auto. Its not bad, kinda doggy but get 16-19mpg and dd it so i see no point in being fast; kinda wish i had lower gears for crawling. Buddy has Ax15, 35's and 4.10's from a 4cyl and its pretty close to stock, not as doggy as mine.

I think I would just be better of goin to the jy and swapping axles, besides the 4 cylinder whats the lowest gearing for a straight 6 auto

The 8.25 doesn't have a carrier break but the lowest you can go is 4.88s.

If you've never done it about a 12. I've done quite a few and it usually takes me about 3 hours per axle. And I have the right tools and set up bearings.
