I just purchased and installed a pair of aftermarket headlights. There is a option to get running daily lights, but you need to connect a wire to another hot wire. Do you guys know of any hot wires that turn on when the engine is running but is not hot when the engine is off. A wire preferably close to the headlights.

Fuel Pump Resistor. Located on fender wall near aircleaner, at least that is where it is on the 1990 xj.
Id run a relay so as to not cause a big drop in fuel pump voltage.
Never done that, but that is what Id consider.
Rather than using these fancy day time running lights, why not simply turn on your headlights? Seems easier. That is what I do if I want the lights on, day or night.
