did the shop do the truss? i would have demanded my money back instantly if thats the case.
you can make it better by using the right materials for the job. a piece of 3/16 flat steel isnt gonna do much for ya. cut it off and try again.
here is my truss im building.
the tube is .188 wall, and the filler plate is 1/4'' thick. truss part that goes over the diff is 3/8'' . all of my mounts are tied together from coil bucket to coil bucket.
mine may be a little overkill, but i know its gonna do its job.
on a side note.....the axle tubes on my diff are 1/2'' thick. i seriously doubt i need a truss like this, but im not gonna half @ss it.

They weren't leaving until they got your money . . .
yeah... yet another reason I refuse to use a shop for anything outside an alignment. I'm sure there are some good guys out there but more often times than not, they just do half-*** shotty work. Sucks bud.

ITS 1/8 NOT 3/16!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That looks like it was welded with a 110 gasless welder. I would just cut it off... as for your OTK problem.. Just get a set of Junk yard knuckles and do it right yourself.
It sounds like to me you took your rig to a start up offroad company.. or a company that just installs lifts on Mall crawlers.

The truss is deffinately gettin cut off & re-done for sure & im thinkin of doin it myself. However the knuckles are fine as i want the OTK setup. Its just a matter of clearancing & settin it up correctly & fixin the shops mistakes.
