So I installed some hood vents on my 89 a few nights ago after doing a lot of research on here.. I did some towards the back of the hood AND behind the cooling system.

Am I the first one to do this? The vents in the front let WAY more hear escape in town, and on the highway it allows air to flow THROUGH the engine compartment and out the rear vents.. Haven't gotten over 210 yet

 

what did ya use to make those bad*** hood vents i wanna do some kind of hood vent or scoop or something of that sort on my jeep

 

looks clean man! a lot of em are those raised fins that look way to ricer... glad to hear they function well.. its a toss up for me cause most of the year a round here its not an issue, but for those few days when its like 90 and im in low gear, it sure as hell would be nice... either way, well done on install.
