Default Home made Roof Rack and Sliders

yesterday i went and picked up the material i needed for my home made roof rack and sliders, and today i started fabricating

let me know what you guys think as of now and if you have any questions ask away and ill do my best to help!

i didnt like the factory mounts for the roof so i made my own, 1x1 steel and cut out myself

sliders will start once i am done with roof rack, then the roll cage will come after and so will my winch ready bumper

then i got smart and stood it up haha

updates shall be coming soon

What kind of metal did you use on the sliders?

I would add a lot of support to the slider bars because it got obviously crimped when you "bent" it.

i used 2x4 14 gauge and 1 1/2 13 gauge i think, and yes i am going to tab on 2 small pieces in the middle for support

i wasnt able to do much today but i was able to snap it on for a second to get the measurements for the mounts

Not everyone can afford the proper bender and not really justified for a few diy projects

I thought it looked thin, but 14 gauge is way to thin for sliders. Those are going to fold after one medium sized hit.
