I think your factory tow hook brackets would just bolt to the outboard side of the winch mount. You would have to keep an eye on the clearance between the rear mounting bolt and the sway bar. This area gets tight real quick. I suppose I could add holes to the winch plate for those wishing to use tow hooks 🤔

Yes I’ve made some progress. Prototype #1 is tacked together in the jig awaiting for me to have a few hours to develop the steering box brace. Then it is on to some test fittings and an initial run of mounts. This has taken ALOT longer than I imagined! I thank all of you for your patience. Here’s a pic of where I’m at.

So the steering box brace will get a second gusset, just not installed yet to facilitate welding. The new design is a fabricated clamp block instead of the original modified exhaust clamp. Although the original modified exhaust clamp has served me well for years, I like this design better.
I fully welded the whole mount this morning and will test fit again after it cools. Very pleased with the fit. Almost a “press fit” as I’ve found these frames have a slight, inboard tilt at the top.

It was built around the existing towing base plate and is well tied into the frame in multiple positions.
The bumper is pushed forward about an inch, with the fender flares trimmed to match

I have one of the first prototypes. Fit like a glove and was an easy install. I have a DIY JCR bumper for the front that I am going to mod to go right over this mount. The JCR bumper almost lines up perfectly right out of the box. Just a bit of trimming and then some customizing.
