Pilot housings - plastic housing and plastic lens. Perfect for retrofitting and still pretty good quality.
Yeah, there is NO way to fit a larger projector than the Infiniti FX's. I had to cut away at least 60% of the housing to get it to fit. Lots of trimming on the projectors themselves as well. And even such, the only way to properly secure it is with a retention ring (hard to waterproof), or JB weld which is actually way stronger than I realized. I really dont think the projector will ever dislodge (About 2 sticks worth of JB Weld Steel Stick on each housing).
The projectors were essentially paid for, but if I was going to do it again I would 100% get the Morimoto Mini's simply because of their size (much narrower than the FX).
Beam pattern is really wide with the Infiniti though. I might go 55w at some point, but for now I think I am going to stick with the philips 85122+ bulbs and some cheap DDM tuning ballasts. When I get the cash I might go for a 55w setup.

Oh yeah, I am probably going for a a 3" hole just so I have the room behind there for the D2S to amp adapter. H4 bulbs would be much easier to route, wiring wise and would probably require less cutting to get to fit the header panel or whatever its called.
Been dragging *** on this project - damn 60hr weeks are killing me.

I have an `89 wagoneer with the four lights and want more light. I may have to see how much room I have to work with and check the sizes of the projectors from DDM Tuning http://www.ddmtuning.com Their stuff has served me well, they own the factory and stand behind their kits and parts. Would be a one stop shop, projectors and HID kits, for me I would do high and low beam if it would work and put 5k low beams and 3k highs (yellow) for bad weather
