Default Hid issues

Ok so I bought my jeep with 5k hid's already in it. They always worked fine never had an issue with them. But today I decided to change them out for 12k and now everything is acting up. The twist is the 5k that I had had the hid bulb and a high beam in the same unit. The 12k I put in are only one bulb instead of the 5k unit that uses 2 bulbs. Te issue is my new 12k bulbs only turn on when I flick the high beam switch on. And being that this is no second bulb I don't have a low beam at all (not a big deal to me. The hid is bright enough so I just leave the high beam switch always on) but sometimes only one will turn on. If. Flick them on and off a few times they will both stay on. Any ideas on how to fix this? Playing with the switch every time I need lights on is kind of annoying. Will putting a relay in help any?

You need to get the right bulbs for your set up.

Personal preference, but why 12K? Headlights are supposed to be white, not blue or purple. Its a good way to get a ticket around here...

x2. If I'm not mistaken, the higher the Kelvin, the less light output, correct?

Went with the 12k just because I liked the color and wanted Make my truck unique and different from everyone else. Cops around here are busy pulling over Honda civics and breaking up house party's. they don't bother me to much

Correct. But I can see fine at night. They light up the road and road signs just as good as normal halogen bulbs
