Default Hi steer and track bar input

I'm looking at using the BTF D30 hi steer bracket for going hi steer on my XJ to eliminate the inverted Y junk. Drilling and tapping the knuckle isn't a big deal, I'll pull it off the parts Jeep. It's all heim in double shear which is a plus too.

Right now I'm running the IRO double shear track bar. Love it. I'm shopping around for OTA brackets. JKS is popular and all I just want something adjustable higher an lower. On the frame side I was planning on keeping the IRO bracket but the rustys one is appealing. Only thing being how much up travel I would have on the drivers side before it would hit (looks like it would hang down low) also don't know if that would even be a problem?

I plan on running full 4.5" RE coils up front to help stay at 4.5" with my bumper and winch.

I don't have a problem with drilling the knuckles for a 5/8" bolt, I don't think it will weaken them enough to matter for me. Any input on this? If not I'll test the waters I guess.

Consider WJ knuckles?

Then you get x over along with better brakes.

Id do WJ knuckles.

Find a WJ partout on c-list. Pickup what you need cheap. Buy some DOM, and run that ****.

Or...maybe even just consider the ruff stuff heim steering setup, use the goferit insert, and pickup an OTA TB mount and run that ****.

Yeah but the WJ stuff adds up quick is my only thing. I kinda want to try this but the bigger brakes are the downside I'm seeing. With rear discs and a dual diaphragm booster I think I'll be alright though.

That leaves the tie rod and drag link in single shear on the same bolt. I don't like that...

I'm going through the wj knuckle swap, well stockpiling parts right now.
How far up does the btf bracket raise the drag link?
You could also look into flat Pitman arm to keep appropriate angles, instead of lowering frame side trac bracket.
Or ruff stuff has an axle bracket with multiple hole options.

Don't you want the drag link and the pitman arm to be the same lengths or close enough? I need to make an email and ask BTF some questions.

Yes if there at the same angle and same length the steering will hardly move during compression and droop.
If they're flat then you won't ever have a problem.
I just need to get a tape under my Jeep to figure it out.
Hard to get everything for the set up without starting on it yet.
