So, I'm about to make a pilgrimage to Florida because it's Jeep Mecca. While I'm there, I'll pick up one of the 5-9 stock XJs that are on my list to look at, possibly some tires and rims, and drive back to good ole Louisiana where I'll start assembling.
I saw THIS though, and need some opinions, mainly because I'm a suspension idiot. Okay, not quite, but I need some help to figure out, A, is this a decent deal, and B, how much lift will this give me over stock, and C, is there anything missing?
My plan was to go around 4.5 and run 32 or 33s, but remove some fender clutter to go bigger on the trail if I wanted to.

I'd be a little sketchy of the person, the title says its for $900 then in the description he says $1000 and THEN at the end he asks $9000 obo. Sounds like some one picked up the peace pipe a little to early...

Well, my thought, since it has been on Craigslist for more than a week is that he's reduced it. I just want to be able to be able to install quality parts and I got 3 teenage girls. I dont pay retail for ANYTHING.
(Can you blame me?)

Well like big David said checkout the vendors they usually offer some kind of discount to forum members, about 10% or so generally. Also you know it's all there and in perfect condition, if you have questions on what is in the kit or any other questions you can always PM the vendor and find out.

If anything, I might just try to get the track bar and shocks from him if you can score a good deal, however, you need to confirm those are the correct shocks first, they look to have a different bar pin set-up. Granted, they might be the right length for a 4.5" lift and you just need to swap bar pins, but I'd check the application guide against the part numbers for those shocks.
Everything else he has you can get much cheaper new, if you shop right.
I'd offer $150 for the track bar, bracket, and bushings.
If the shocks are the correct length I'd offer him $200-250.
Forget everything else.

For best ride and flex, I recommend around a 2-3.5" leaf spring and extended shackle. OME, Rusty's, Zone. Thats what I narrowed my options to after much research. After much more, I selected OME.
