Default help with my buddies geometry?

help with my buddies geometry?-forumrunner_20120405_123514.jpg

Ok so my buddy has a 4 door XJ with 8 inches of lift. He says he can't drive on the freeway because its way to scary. He hits a bump and feels like its going to go off the road. I posted a pic hoping you guys could give some advice on the suspension Thanks. Its on some crappy 35 too. Let me know what you think Thanks!

At 8" of lift he's got Caster Angle issues.

Also,
Looks like his track bar and drag link are no longer parallel.

Using OEM steering on that much lift is just asking for trouble.

^x2, stock steering wont cut it and trackbar needs to be parallel to steering. Shallower the steering angle the better

That tie bar and drag link doesn't look ideal to me. The image in my mind of the tie bar bending the drag link scares me.

Yes, but I'd recommend clocking the inners C's to get a better pinion angle and still maintain the correct castor.

No, its the C-shaped things that the balljoints press into and what pivots the wheels while turning

It would help a lot but the track bar would need to be totally redone. Or go to a 1 ton UTK steering set up and keep the track bar where it is.

I know he just put a new trackbar for that lift. Is there suppose to be some kind of drop bracket for the trackbar that he maybe needs?

Not necessarily.
It all boils down to keeping the track bar a drag link parallel, regardless of the brand or configuration.

Parallel and equal length....
