Default Help diagnose knocking.

My jeep is a 95xj with a HO strait 6 with auto trans.
I have this knocking coming out from under my jeep. I thought it might have been the pressure plate bolts were lose but I torqued them down and the knocking continues.. It is deff louder without the cover on. So I seem to think its coming from the same area.. The knocking stops when I'm at high speeds, when I let of the gas and when the tranny shifts gears..

They do tend to crack around where they bolt to the crankshaft, makes a hell of a racket!

Yep. That cracked flexplate might be held on by some mighty tight bolts.
