I recently purchased some Hella 500 fog lights and just finished installing them on the front bumper of my '96 XJ. The light on the passenger side works fine when I flip the switch but the light on the drivers side wont turn on. I've double checked the wire leading to it so I don't think its that. Could it be a bad bulb or something? And if so what kind of bulbs do these lights take and where could I get them?

Here's a view of them btw

and my bumper was detached in this pic so don't worry

Do you have a volt meter? Have you tried the bulb from the working light and installed it in the non working one. Have you hooked the non working one the a 12v source just to see if it lights up?

Are both lights properly grounded?

Ground would be my guess. If its grounded to a spot with paint on it, it might hinder the ground.

I'll double check the ground on it but the other light is grounded in about the same place just on the other side. I'll be trying more of your solutions today, I was just a little bit tired last night after going at it for so long. Thanks guys.

Make sure on the grounds that both pieces are down to bare metal to be certain of it. I have 8 Hellas on mine and no problems with any of them.

Glad to hear it. When in doubt, check your grounds!
