I believe oreilly and napa carry these as well. just cant remember that darn part #.. there was another recent thread about ujoints on here I think someone had the #. I'll search for it real quick

Guys there plenty of apps that require very HD U-Joints I used them for a long time in my driveshaft's. When you release a transbrake with a very sticky set of slicks on a well prepped track with a lot of HP "Usually" they are the first thing to give.
I can see where some of the serious off road crowd would require these also, how many I don't know. Want and need are 2 different things.

I think the answer is yes but just checking. Do the older "small shafts" have the 297 U-joint the same as the "large shafts"? The reason I ask is because when I broke the U-joint on Saturday none of the ears broke. Just wondering if the larger shafts make any difference.
I already have a pair of large shafts ready to be built. This is just an academic question.

Also an interesting point is that I've seen 2 different aftermarket D30 shafts depending on early or late year XJs but the later model shafts fit in my early model.
