So I was at the junkyard the other day when I spotted an 01 limited with factory heated seats. The seats were leather and in pretty bad shape so I left them but I snagged the switch panel and harness that goes inside the ash try. I have an 00 classic with just the driver power seat and cloth buckets. Is there any way to wire in aftermarket seat heaters and still use the factory switch panel and harness?

Should have grabbed the seats too, and you could have pulled the heaters out of them and put them under your cloths.
Without going through the FSM I'm thinking there's a little more to the switches than just simple on/off, and probably won't work with anything other than XJ leathers, or IIRC ZJ leathers.

The switches are actually hi/low switches. When I took the switches out it looks like it actually is powered through the power seat harness. Does this mean that I would have to find another power seat bracket for the passenger side? And if so do ZJ seat brackets work?

or just run a new power source to it? a switch is a simple enough device.. in one position it connects 2 contacts, in another it connects 2 others. in the off position, none are connected. grab a multimeter set to continuity and get to testing
