headliner help with cage?
OK guys I'm getting my cage installed on my 98 XJ. I know that i will have to ditch the old headliner due to the rear speakers. My question is will previous headliners that didn't have the factory speakers fit? Ive looked online and the forum for souces on finding replacement headliners but I've come up empty. My other thought is to peel and seal then cover it with fabric. Anyone have any recommendations as to what material will hold up best for hot weather? Im in cali but i go out to high desert areas, and out to Lake havasu, blythe and parker AZ a lot. As with almost all Just Empty Every Pocket owners (J.E.E.P) I'm on a budget especially after the cage cost. Or if anyone has any tips on getting the stock 98 headliner with speakers back in with the cage I'm all yes and ears.
Im getting the T&J cage built and installed. Ill have access during the build so ill try and get photos of the build. I am local to that shop. Lucky me!
and thank yoiu!

There is no reason that the cage can't be built around the speakers in the headliner and id welded in the right sequence the headliner could be placed bank in and the speakers still used.
I have retained quite a few headliners in street/strip cars that have cages, all that needed to be done in most of them was remove the rear glass.
