In other news, Xjwonders will be testing these out for me as a trade deal.

Well, as long as we're sharing, I've had mine for 17 years, four months and 20 days.
ill be milling around the garage later after i get up from my nap. ill snap some pics and measure the glass thickness on that autopal housing. they certainly are cheap. that housing definitely cut the dog**** out of my hand, though. i took advice from this site, had i done more research or seen some first hand i would have bought something else, but i kinda rushed into it. fwiw i'm the guy that can tear up anvils. literally.
No doubt that the TruckLites are better than the Chinese ones.
I have both. $350 vs $95. 4 sets of TLs and 2 sets of the Chinese LEDs.
Compared to stock sealed beams and not needing to add an upgraded harness, the Chinese ones aren't too bad, way better than stock sealed beams.

out of curiosity i snapped some pics. apparently i threw away the rustiest housings, but they all looked the same to varying degrees of rusty. this one looked good in comparison. if you look by the 90* break you can see some dried blood haha. the glass appears to be 1/8 or 5/32 or of an inch thick at its meatiest part. pic of my hand for giggles. the rust is spotted in the upper right side of the housing. can't see it but it's worse on the bottom of the top side.

@ outlawstar, I am VERY interested in seeing that beam in action. That's one of the sets I have been considering.
Hopefully, he will post up some pics when he recieves and installs them.

Take a good look at
housings. I have been running these for 3 yrs with hella H4 bulbs. I built my own harness. Awesome combo. Only one hella H4 has failed but they are cheap ~7-12 bucks per bulb depending on which one you buy. Nice tight pattern. Very bright. Well worth the reasonable cost. I spent about $120 dollars total (that include the materials to build my harness). Plus to consider=== H4 bulbs are available almost anywhere in a pinch. They are small and easily stored as an emergency spare. So many here are very happy with their set up. This is mine.

Just replaced the completely rusted Hellas (that I bought 28 years ago) with Autopals last week (I'm not planning on getting another 28 years out of them

ARB has a very good name, I doubt they would allow their name to be associated with a substandard product. That is why i trusted these. 3 yrs no rust, warpage, or discoloration. The harness is a big part of this. if you plan to run higher than standard wattage bulbs you really want to look at building your own. it is not hard.
