Default Headlight Upgrades

So i recently installed a new 40 inch light bar and realized that my factory headlights.... well suck. I am on a budget with the holidays rite around the corner. So i am asking if any could recommend a descent PAIR of LED headlight that are affordable? I have been looking around and a lot of what i see is around 200 per light. Thats a little out of the question rite now. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have looked into lights from China and the reviews all say the same the lenses haze very fast and the LED modules burnout. I liked a couple sets but after reading that i decided to make this post. I guess i should add i am willing to spend good money on a good set of lights just don't want to buy 3 sets to find a good pair. I was looking at the Truck lights but wasn't sure if 2 leds would be enough light.

If you cant fork out the cash for good LED lights, then save up until you can. Get a headlight harness upgrade for now and call it a day (available in the for sale section from one of our good members). There are lots of bad things about the cheap lights and the way the light gets output is bad / unsafe to other drivers.

That is why i don't want to waste money i had already planned on doing the harness upgrade. Any suggestions on a good pair of lights?

I Have been looking at these. https://www.carid.com/truck-lite/hea...07&url=3934546

But there are so many options that i wasn't sure if these would be good or if there was something better for around the same money. Plus i would like for them to come as a pair not 200 per light.

that right there is exactly what you need. Buy once cry once. Cheaper versions come with numerous risks and issues.

but why exactly do you need led? There are way cheaper ways that are efficient to get better lighting. Headlight harness is one of them.

Rite now i am running factory lights and with the new light bar installed i now see that those are not enough. I wasn't dead set on any one thing just don't want HID. I just figured LED was going to be a better longer lasting light. But I am no expert thats why we are here and i am asking all of you. LOL

When it comes to led lights if they are not trucklite/ge nighthawk or jw speaker pass on them fully. The budget headlight upgrade is still the harness a good set of h4 housings like hella brand and good lights for them.If you shop around online you can pull it all off for 100 bucks or less. And no joke the low beams on that will be brighter then your stock high beams are now.And the reason i say skip the cheaper ebay led headlights they suck at light focus its not a full beam more like 10 or more tiny ones which sucks for light. The big names like trucklite left that design because of its problem with light focus and now runs like 2 bright leds in a housing.

Also, I don't think LED lights (the cheaper ones anyways) generate enough heat to melt snow & ice buildup, so if you live in a state that gets that stuff...beware.

i would steer away from an h4 housing. i installed an autopal glass face set about 4 years ago. they worked great regarding light output and pattern, but they were rusting internally, despite having no damage. i went back to sealed beam sylvanias. the harness is a must if not using led/hid.
