Eeek! Kill it with fire! Highly unrecommended. If someone is on a very tight budget, ECE compliant Autopals are the cheapest product I recommend. Those "Chrome Crystal Diamond" (these are three words I tell people are easily-recognized red flags, and this product has all three!) things are very poorly designed, and I see that their ad even says, "Compatible with HID conversion kit." HID's in that housing would be incredibly dangerous and illegal!!! They also include a blue LED city light. Blue?! Blue is just about the worst wavelength of light possible to choose for the human eye to recognize and interact with safely. I don't see any listing of DOT or ECE compliance.
If you're on a tight budget, buy the Autopals. They're not the best money can buy, but there are DOT and ECE compliant versions (I recommend ECE) that have good build quality and very respectable patterns. They are also very close to as good as the much more expensive Delta, IPF, Hella, and Cibie housings.
X2. IF you are going to do this, do it right, not cheap.
I stand by my statement above, not much more than a properly setup HID/projector setup that's done correctly, and it is literally plug and play. Didn't even have to upgrade the harness.
I had AutoPal on my Daughters Cherokee, did not see all that much improvement and it quickly got water in them (I do a lot of deep water crossings) and the reflective back coating peeled off. Next time I might try some high temp silicone on the boots.
I can't imagine spending $350 for a set of headlights personally, we both have trail jeeps, for the limited times we will be on the road at night I am not worried about DOT and looking at trying a Cheap LED's headlight next, right now I have a set of Rampage headlights, Putco Harness (that was on her old jeep) and got some Hella bulbs but the Jeep is not on the road yet to try.

You might want to try the Putco harness and Sylvania sealed beams, no H4 capsule made is submersible.
^I second that.
Fantastic clean light output and will draw less amperage than stock headlamps, so no need in upgrading the harness. Although it wouldn't hurt to replace the harness anyway. And I love the look of them myself. The JW Speakers...not so much. It might be a superior light, but it just doesn't look like it belongs on a Jeep at all.
As with all things, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Some like the look of the JW Speaker, others not so much.
But...there's no denying the output.

I agree.

Kinda like the rest of my rig...built to go, not for show, LOL
Very true statement, I don't really care for the look on the XJ myself either, but those things are pretty amazing. The price though...yikes

Gotta go with Frank on this one I like them (Big Output) but I'm hard on lights water, brush, tree limbs would be a real hit to break one. I don't like the cheap LED's they leave a lot to be desired but as with all things you get what you pay for. As for looks I never buy for looks just function whatever it may be.
I run a bunch of cheap Hella "Black Magic's" on the front of mine and a set of 8" Hellas on the rear for backup/work light. I have broken 4-5 of them while wheeling but bought 4 extra sets when they were on sale at Jegs a yr. and a half ago for spares.

Technically an ECE spec headlight that ISN'T DOT approved as well isn't legal here, but ECE meets or exceeds DOT specs in every conceivable way, and if anyone would ever want to go to court with me over my ECE headlights (I personally use Cibie housings), they'd better be prepared to lose that battle.
