Default Headlight harness helpful for LED headlights (trucklite)

Hello,

Would modern LED headlights (trucklite, jw speaker, etc) benefit from the upgraded headlight harness for H4 bulbs?

I assume so since even the stock headlights benefit from the harness.

i ask because I’m tired of having issues with my 2012 Putco Harness (relays, pigtails connections, etc), and am considering a new harness or going back to the stock harness and swapping from H4 to new LED lights.

as for harness recommendations, can anyone suggest?

so far I’ve found

trucklite states 12v 3a or ~36W max power draw for 5x7.

thats in the low end of the stock lights 35W /60W for low/high

I have trucklites and do not have upgraded harness and I've not had any issues. The lights are super bright. Second set that I have had. (Had another set on a TJ)

I guess to really see, you would have to have a light meter and test the difference before harness and after.

Good luck!

I installed one with my Trucklite and have not had a problem in three years.

I sell them for $18 to your door here in the forums.
